Behold! The Lamb of God

In the book of Exodus we see the Israelites as slaves in Egypt, crying out for deliverance from the oppression of Pharoah. The signs and ceremonies the Israelites carried forward from this time, pointed to one event – the sacrifice of the Lamb of God giving us deliverance from sin and the gift of eternal life.
And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:27,28
