It is possible to have a changed heart!

A special dedication service for Micah David Hughes
Pharisee Simon, a leper healed by Jesus, held a feast for Him and his disciples in the town of Bethany, not far from Jerusalem. Having stopped to rest with His friends, Lazarus, Mary and Martha, Jesus was aware that with only 6 days until Passover, His death was immanent. Mary used this occasion to express her love and thankfulness to Jesus by pouring a very valuable scented oil over his head and feet, a deed of love from the heart that meant much more to Jesus than all the precious ointment in the world. Mary’s action was inspired by the Holy Spirit to uplift Christ at a time He most needed it, but it coincided with an accusation from Judas against Mary of wastefulness – a response showing his heart to be unlovingly opposite to that of the saviour. Our hearts are changed when we learn to appreciate the matchless excellence of the character of Christ, and through Him learn to love others the way He love us.
She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” Mark 14: 8-9
