Apocalyptic Vision and the Neutering of Adventism

The challenge we have as Adventists today is to balance our focus on the end times with a focus on Jesus. Relevance is not the answer. We need to stand for things that are not only true, but have importance for the times in which we live. We have a prophetic message for our time, but that prophecy has to be preached within the context of Jesus and the gospel. There is no middle ground between being meaningful and being neutered. Instead, the book of Revelation is a wake up call, not only for the world but for every Adventist.
