Knowing the Footprints of God
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14
John wrote of a fourth angel in the eighteenth chapter of Revelation who, in the last moments of earth’s history, announced the fall and imminent destruction of Babylon. Then another voice from heaven calls for God’s people everywhere to come out of those churches and faiths that keep not the commandments of God and have not the faith of Jesus. Most of the world have not yet heard this warning, or the good news of Christ and his gifts and promises to us.
In this talk, Paul describes to us the difficulties of reaching the 1.8 billion Muslims in the world using evangelistic methods culturally appropriate mainly to the western world. He then shares an exciting new approach based on the early apostolic model, which more closely matches the cultural needs and social structure of this group. We Christians in Australia need to gain insight through educating ourselves as to the values and societal structure of Muslim peoples so as to meet them on common spiritual ground, and share the special story of Jesus Christ and his imminent return.
God selects his messengers, and gives them his message; and he says, “Forbid them not.” New methods must he introduced. God’s people must awake to the necessities of the time in which they are living. Advent Review and Sabbath Herald | September 30, 1902
