Reflecting God’s Glory
And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:1-3
The world we are living in is complicated, and things seem to be getting worse instead of better. However, 2000 years ago when Jesus was born things were little different to how they are today. As Jesus preached to the people on the Mount of Olives he wanted them to know that the Kingdom of Heaven was near at hand and that the King of Heaven was the solution to all their problems. There is no earthly solution to our problems. They can only be solved by trusting in Jesus. As we live out the precepts of the beatitudes in our lives we will be reflecting the glory of God to those around us.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16
