Called to Have a Full Tank
I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35
When we gaze up at the beauty of the stars sparkling in the heavens, we are doubly blessed. Our earth is in the perfect position in space. Our surroundings not neither too warm or too cold. We are also standing in the presence of God, feeling his presence as we admire his handiwork. We have an important role in upholding and strengthening each other. Just as a car is useless with no fuel in its tank, if we do not have fuel in our tank we are of no use to anyone. We need to fill up daily from Bible study and prayer. The strength we gain from Christ we can use to to help those who are weak, fragile and broken bear their burdens.
And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” Acts 14:21-22
