Don’t Be Deceived
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 1 Corinthians 3:18
We are all fighting a battle. This battle does not involve swords or guns. It is a spiritual battle, and it is our hearts that are being battled for. The fight for supremacy between God and Satan began in heaven when Satan, the first deceiver, persuaded one third of the angels to follow him. He then beguiled Eve, she ate the fruit of the forbidden tree, and sin entered our world. Now he wants to deceive each of us. The only way we can stand against Satan’s deceptions is to be grounded in God’s truth.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:12, 13
