Will You Follow Jesus?
So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” John 21:15
Does Jesus know that we love Him? Have we got to the point in our lives where nothing else matters except Him? Peter and Jesus were talking on the beach of the Sea of Galilee. Prior to his crucifixion Peter had denied three times that he knew Jesus and now Peter needed to know that he was loved, forgiven, restored, and had Jesus blessing to feed the lambs and the sheep. Jesus also loves each one of us. Will You follow Jesus?
How many today are like Peter! They are interested in the affairs of others, and anxious to know their duty, while they are in danger of neglecting their own. It is our work to look to Christ and follow Him. We shall see mistakes in the lives of others, and defects in their character. Humanity is encompassed with infirmity. But in Christ we shall find perfection. Beholding Him, we shall become transformed. (E. G. White – Desire of Ages pg 816)
